The location of the dog beach is just north of the Andy Romano Beachfront Park located at 839 S Atlantic Ave, Ormond Beach, FL 32176. Public parking for the dog beach is just north of the parking area for Andy Romano Park in Ormond Dog Beach, extending from Milsap Beach Ramp to Rockefeller Beach Ramp. Weather permitting, this section allows for a delightful drive along the coastline. The beach is easily accessible through three Beach Ramps.
At 839 S Atlantic Ave, Ormond Beach, FL, you'll find the parking lot at Andy Romano Beachfront Park. While dogs are not allowed within the park itself, visitors can utilize the parking lot and access the beach by walking down the ramp heading north. Additionally, there are parking lots at Cardinal Drive Beach and Rockefeller Drive Beach Ramp, with both situated conveniently across the street.
For added convenience, restrooms are available at Andy Romano and at the Cardinal beach ramp by the lifeguard tower. To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, it's important to adhere to a few simple rules:
1. Leash Policy: Dogs must be on a leash at all times, and the leash length should not exceed 6 feet.
2. Wildlife Areas: Dogs are not allowed in designated wildlife areas to preserve the natural habitat.
3. Clean-Up Responsibility: Owners are kindly reminded to clean up after their dogs to maintain the cleanliness of the beach.
Be mindful of these rules, as violating any of them may result in fines from the county. Embrace the beauty of Ormond Dog Beach while respecting the environment and fellow beachgoers for an enjoyable outing with your furry friends.
2995 N Peninsula Drive, New Smyrna Beach, Florida Located on the north side of the New Smyrna Beach peninsula, Smyrna Dunes Park offers amenities such as showers, bathrooms, plenty of parking, and over 2 miles of elevated wooden walkways that are accessible to leashed dogs and their owners. Throughout the park, you will find picnic tables as well as designated areas for fishing and swimming. Be aware: there are no lifeguards on duty, so never swim alone. Also, leash laws are strongly enforced within the park!Hours: Sunrise to Sunset Admission: $10 per car, $20 annual pass.
Pets are allowed on the inlet shore beach area and must be leashed at all times. Pets are not allowed on the elevated park boardwalks after 10am. Pets are never allowed on the Atlantic Ocean Beach.
5000 S Atlantic Avenue, Ponce Inlet, FloridaCross the Dunlawton Bridge and travel south on A1A until you come to Lighthouse Point Park, near the Historic Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. The park consists of 52 acres and features restrooms, showers (including a dog shower), pavilions, hiking/nature trails, fishing and swimming areas where dogs are welcome, but must remain on a leash at all times.Hours: Sunrise to Sunset Admission: $10 per car, $20 annual pass
